We are pleased to announce the celebration of a lovely and relaxed bird ringing day next Saturday, May 17th, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Our olive grove is rich in biodiversity thanks to the sustainable management practices we follow, and we want you to experience it with us. We’ll showcase all the life it holds, learn about birds, and much more.

The event will take place throughout the morning and will feature the following facilitators: Ana Bernal (expert bird ringer), Juan Manuel Arcos (agroecology expert), and Antonio Puentes (olive oil expert).

Schedule:

  • 8:00 – 10:00 AM | Breakfast and participant reception* – Enjoy a breakfast featuring local pastries and tropical fruits, offered by one of our hosts, GOinsitu from the Tropical Coast of Granada.
  • 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Bird Ringing – This activity will take place depending on the animals and weather conditions. During this session, Ana Bernal will give a talk on The Influence of Biodiversity in Agricultural Ecosystems.
  • 12:00 – 12:45 PM | Talk – The Olive Grove: From Forest to Desert – Presented by Juan Manuel Arcos.
  • 12:45 – 1:30 PM | Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tasting and Pairing – Led by Antonio J. Puentes Campos, featuring different olive oil varieties.
  • 1:30 – 3:00 PM | Discussion and Lunch – Enjoy a tasting of goat cheeses, a country-style rice dish, and a drink.

Don’t miss out—join us and reserve your spot!
