Visit Isaac’s Tropical Farm in Los Guájares
Join us for a visit to Isaac’s tropical farm in Los Guájares. It is a small village on the Tropical Coast of Granada, where we practice regenerative agriculture.
The experience begins in Guájar Fondón, our hometown, where we’ll share a bit about its Arab history and our project—how, after many years away, we returned to the village to honor and revive our family’s farming tradition.
From there, we’ll walk to one of our family farms, located in the area known as Higueral. Here you’ll find a wide variety of fruit trees such as avocado, cherimoya, orange, and more—a true edible forest, depending on the season. Along the way, we’ll enjoy the unique flora and fauna of the Los Guájares valley (the name Guájares comes from Arabic, meaning “steep, hard to access”).
Once at the farm, you’ll get a hands-on introduction to the transition to organic farming, using different tools of regenerative agriculture. We’ll explain how we organically fertilize the trees, manage the cover crops, apply microorganisms, and balance the soil’s minerals—in short, how we enrich the soil to grow healthier, more nutritious trees and fruits while taking care of our environment.
The house
After the farm visit, we’ll walk back to the village and explore the future rural guesthouse that will be part of the project. This historic house preserves the charm of traditional Arab-Andalusian architecture, with an inner courtyard and a central fountain. Here, we’ll offer you a tasting of our farm products—an authentic flavor of the land.
This tasting will be the perfect way to close the experience, while we share our philosophy and way of life in a tiny village of fewer than 200 inhabitants. Our focus is on respecting the natural environment and supporting the local community, while giving you a chance to discover the richness of this unique valley.
We look forward to welcoming you!
