Adventure on a 4×4 Desert Tour and Wine Tasting in the Granada Geopark
Embark on an exciting adventure with a 4×4 desert tour in the heart of the Granada Geopark, declared a UNESCO Heritage Site in 2020. Enjoy a journey through a unique landscape, often compared to the Colorado Desert or Turkey’s Cappadocia, located in northern Granada province, just 40 minutes from the city.
We’ll start the day with a visit to the Acequia del Toril, a natural oasis with a fascinating history. Here, we’ll take a short and easy route of about 2 kilometers, exploring a vertical garden sculpted by thermal waters over centuries. You’ll also discover some of the best-preserved dolmens, prehistoric monuments of the area.
Next, we’ll hop into our 4×4 vehicles to explore one of the areas with the highest concentration of dolmens in Europe. We’ll venture into an awe-inspiring desert landscape, where you’ll marvel at geological formations like canyons, ravines, badlands, and the famous fairy chimneys. The route offers a panoramic 360-degree view with five large mountain ranges, often snow-capped, providing a setting of absolute serenity.
To cap off this unique experience, we’ll visit one of the best organic wineries in the province. There, you’ll learn about the production of wines with the Denomination of Origin Granada and enjoy a tasting paired with high-quality local products.

To fully enjoy the tour, it’s important to wear appropriate clothing for the season: in summer, light clothing and comfortable hiking shoes are recommended; in winter, warm layers and suitable footwear for the terrain are essential.
