Ancient Oil Mill and Stone Grinder

Our center, recognized as an ethnographic heritage site, consists of a farmhouse, an ancient oil mill, a flour mill, an aqueduct, and a tavern. This historic ensemble allows us to travel back in time and understand how essential products for daily life were made in past centuries.

You will have the chance to see a 19th-century oil mill in operation, featuring granite rollers and a blood mill (animal traction), which now operates with electricity. You will also discover two capacho presses and large jars for oil decanting, key elements in the production of Andalusian ‘liquid gold.’ This ethnographic experience offers a firsthand look at the history and evolution of olive oil in our region.

The experience includes

• A typical breakfast or snack, depending on the time of your visit.

• A walk through our olive grove, where you’ll learn about the secrets of the olive tree, the fruit, and the organization of a traditional estate. You’ll also discover the olive harvest process and its significance to oil quality.

• A visit to the current mill and the traditional oil mill, with a detailed explanation of the oil extraction process.

• A tasting of our Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVOOs), offering a unique opportunity to explore the nuances of this essential product in the Mediterranean diet.

Throughout the visit, our experts will share their knowledge and anecdotes about olive-growing traditions, making this an unforgettable sensory and cultural journey.

• A minimum of 4 people is required to carry out the experience.

• Comfortable footwear and appropriate clothing for the visit are advised.

• At the end, our visitors have a surprise: a drink & tapa to discover new dining options.

• The visit takes about 90 minutes (we can adapt according to the needs of the group).

• For the visits of 12 p.m. we optionally offer (Extra Service) a snack (drink and cover).

• If the group is not completed and the activity is cancelled, the money of your reservation will be refunded.
