Be goatherd and cheesemaker!

Visit a farm with native Payoya goats right on the Costa del Sol. Nestled in the mountains, yet close to the sea, this beautiful countryside cheesery offers an unforgettable experience. The visit includes making your own cheese. Be goatherd and cheesemaker!!

Become a goatherd and cheesemaker for a morning! This is a hands-on activity where you’ll get to milk our goats and craft a cheese to take home.

You’ll learn about the protected environment we call home and how our family settled in these mountains 90 years ago. Meet the stars of our farm—the Payoya goats—just before they head out to graze. But first, you’ll get the chance to milk them the traditional way! You’ll also discover the art of slingshot throwing, a key tool in goat herding.

Afterward, you’ll explore the entire process of cheese and yogurt making, from milking to transformation, and put your skills to the test by crafting your very own cheese.

Of course, we’ll finish with a sensory cheese tasting paired with a local wine.

We are a family-run business deeply grateful to this Natural Park, which has sustained us for four generations. Our commitment to raising native animals freely—without modern industrial farming methods—requires great effort but yields the finest raw materials. By blending hard work, tradition, and craftsmanship, we create a unique goat cheese that is a true gourmet reference. Through our workshops, we also advocate for the protection of this philosophy, now at risk of disappearing.
